Daniel Viviroli leitet die Forschungsgruppe Gebirgshydrologie an der Universität Zürich und ist dort Privatdozent für Physische Geographie und Hydrologie. Seine Forschung untersucht Wasserressourcen, Naturgefahren und hydrologische Prozesse in Gebirgsregionen weltweit sowie deren Veränderungen durch Klima, Landnutzung und gesellschaftliche Entwicklungen.
